Build machine learning that powers the clean energy transition

At Eliq, we help utilities turn complex energy data into actionable insights for millions. We’re a fast-growing company working with utilities across Europe, making energy smarter, more sustainable, and more accessible.

We’re looking for a hands-on Data Scientist to shape how users understand their energy consumption — the “brain” of our product. You’ll build and run models used by enterprise customers and end users, working in a team that values strong engineering, modern ML tooling, and production-quality delivery.

What you’ll do

• Design, build, and deploy ML models (forecasting, disaggregation, peer comparison, carbon impact)
• Write clean, production-ready code
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver ML features
• Monitor and improve model performance in production
• Document work and support teammates

Who you are

• You build reliable, production-grade models — not just prototypes
• You take ownership end-to-end, from idea to real-world performance
• You understand the “why” behind the data and ask the right questions
• You communicate complex ideas clearly and collaborate well

What you bring

• 5+ years in data science or software roles
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience deploying ML models in production
• Familiarity with ML pipelines, cloud (Azure/Databricks)
• Interest or experience in time-series/forecasting
